From money and medical care to water and fire safety, the 2-day festival ensures you’re Jax Ready

JACKSONVILLE, Florida. – A 2-year-old girl was rescued recently by a group of strangers who teamed up with CPR to save her life after she was found floating in a pond.

She succeeded and is doing very well, but she might not have made it if the bystanders who started CPR didn’t know what to do.

Dr. Patricia Barrozo, a nurse practitioner who was among those onlookers, said you never know when you will need to perform CPR.

“If you can respond quickly, the chances of survival through CPR outside of the hospital, you can increase the chances of survival by two to three times,” Barrozo said.

You can learn all about CPR and water safety and much more this Friday and Saturday at Jax Ready Fest.
