Several child predators arrested thanks to AG operations

“The danger presented by Meta and its social media platforms does not only exist in the virtual world, it endangers children in the real world,” said Attorney General Raul Torrez. Torrez said this because his office and law enforcement partners have now arrested three of the men accused of using apps like Facebook and Instagram to sexually target minors. Undercover agents created social media profiles posing as minors. “We are extremely concerned about the ease with which these individuals found the undercover personas that were created,” Torrez said. Three men were arrested and identified thanks to the efforts of “Operation MetaPhile.” These men are Christopher Reynolds, Fernando Clyde and Marlon Kellywood. It sends this message to other potential predators. “I want you to understand that our special agents and prosecutors will continue our investigative efforts in this matter to identify you, apprehend you and bring you to justice,” Torrez said. Although all the men have been charged, Torrez says the root cause of the concern has to do with Meta and its executives, like CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Torrez said: “This is the fault of the leaders of a company that has extraordinary resources and has chosen time and time again to put profits ahead of the interests of children. “Attempts have been made to contact Meta for a response, but KOAT has yet to receive a response.
