Silent Steel Safe-Guard is a heat shield for the Silent Steel Streamer family of suppressors.

The heat shield will protect the user and equipment from burns and is a thermal insulator and signature reduction device that mitigates negative visible candling effects.

The air gap between the carbon fiber outer shell and the suppressor will prevent heat from transferring from the suppressor to the heat shield. When firing, the pressure of the gun’s blast draws air from the vent holes in the back of the cover. The design allows for high cooling airflow through the box, which will cool the suppressor and heat shield. Low heat transfer materials will not get so hot that the Safe-Guard burns equipment or melts gloves when detaching the hot suppressor from the barrel.

Safe-Guard is very lightweight yet shock and heat resistant, capable of withstanding suppression temperatures in excess of 600°C for short periods.

The Safe-Guard is compatible with all suppressors in the Quick Detach (QD) Streamer family (Streamer, Compact Streamer and Micro Streamer).

The Safe-Guard is attached to the suppressor with locking screws.
Note: The locking screws will leave a round mark on the surface of the cerakote.

Safe-Guard comes with a storage pouch. The pouch is made from non-melting materials and a heat suppressor with Safe-Guard can be stored in the pouch.
