Marco Bezzecchi "charged" and ready to take the podium from Jerez to Le Mans

Marco Bezzecchi made a return to form at Jerez by qualifying on the front row before taking his first podium of the 2024 MotoGP season.

Bezzecchi was impressive throughout the weekend as he seemed to put his struggles adapting to the GP23 machine behind him.

The lack of front-end feel when braking was a problem during pre-season testing and the first races. However, Bezzecchi was back in the mix last time out, which he hopes will be the case at Le Mans this weekend.

“I can’t wait to get on the track,” Bezzecchi said. “I’m really recharged after the good race in Jerez. It was necessary for the whole team.

“Le Mans is a circuit where I have always been very strong in all categories. I like the track.

“Last year I won one of the best races of my career. Let’s continue to build on the good things we’ve done over the past few weekends and have fun.

While Bezzecchi was back on the podium, Fabio Di Giannantonio is still waiting for his first top 3 in 2024.

The Italian has achieved top-ten results at every round so far, however, last season’s Qatar winner is still looking for the same performance he finished 2023 with.
