(Video) – Marc Cucurella lives up to the funniest tag in the locker room

Marc Cucurella is enjoying something of a resurgence following a tactical change that saw him rotate into midfield when the Blues are in possession.

Cucurella followed a brilliant second half against Aston Villa, with equally good performances in the wins against Tottenham and West Ham.

The Spaniard is starting to look like the player Chelsea paid Brighton over £60m for in 2022, and his performances in this reverse role may be why Pep Guardiola wanted to bring him to Manchester City.

The 25-year-old had a tough time at Stamford Bridge and was even booed by fans at times last season, but he is now really starting to show what he can do.

The Spain international is clearly a popular member of the squad, with teammates Cole Palmer and Alfie Gilchrist naming him the funniest one in the dressing room.

Cucurella certainly lived up to that label while filming a video for Chelsea’s YouTube channel with Palmer and Gilchrist, with both men angry at one of the Spaniard’s responses.
