Flashback: RFK Jr. hailed Chinese threats of ‘prison’ and ‘organ harvesting’ as means to achieve climate goals

Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has made questionable remarks toward China in recent years, including applauding the country for allegedly using threats of prison or organ harvesting as a means to meet its green energy goals, according to comments discovered and reviewed by Fox. Digital News.

“They take this very seriously,” Kennedy said in 2014, speaking about China and its clean energy deal that year. “I don’t know if… the guy ends up in prison with, you know, his organs removed or what. But they’re very, very serious.”

Kennedy’s comments, made on “The Ring Of Fire” radio show in 2014, followed the Obama administration’s announcement in November of that year of its goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. greenhouse gas emissions by 26 to 28% by 2025 compared to 2005 levels. Simultaneously, China announced that it aims to increase the share of non-fossil fuels in overall energy to around 20% by 2030, according to the White House press release at the time.

The two countries’ green energy plans were announced on the eve of the Paris climate agreement, adopted by 195 countries in 2015.

Kennedy pledged his support for the Paris agreement in his 2014 radio show remarks, while praising President Barack Obama for his climate policies.

“Well, Obama has really been amazing over the last couple of months, as you said, he put in place the power plant rule, which for the first time will allow the EPA and the states to start to regulate CO2,” Kennedy added in his radio remarks.

When asked how China would go about complying with the agreement, which was not binding, Kennedy said the workload would be divided among Chinese provincial governors, who would then order their government employees to apply climate policies. If government employees failed to carry out their mission, Kennedy speculated that they could face prison time or even “organ harvesting.”

“The governor of this province receives his share, if there is a national commitment like this, the governor of this province receives his share, you know, whatever his pro rata contribution to this advancement that he has to put He must find a way to implement it in his province,” he said before emphasizing that government officials take their work “very seriously” and would not be opposed to harm or imprisonment. employees who fail.

“They lose their jobs and, you know, they’re punished…and any kind of advancement that they get is stopped if they don’t meet these quotas. And China is already moving down that path. They’ve hired 175 billion dollars in new solar,” he continued.

Kennedy continued to praise China for its production of solar panels, which drove down prices across the world and “virtually” ended U.S. manufacturing of solar panels.

“They’re already making a surplus of solar panels that have flooded the rest of the world with solar panels. And… part of the collateral effect of that is that all of our – the price of solar panels has dropped so low, that it’s put almost every U.S. manufacturer went bankrupt, but it created a whole industry in this country for solar installations,” he said.

“When they (China) do it, it gets done,” he added.

“You don’t need 50%. It’s a three-way race – and it’s really a five-way race,” he added, referring to independent candidate Dr. Cornel West and female candidate of Green Party Dr. Jill Stein, who are also running for the White House.

A Quinnipiac survey released last month, Kennedy had 16% overall support, while Trump and Biden each had 37%.

Kennedy also made questionable remarks regarding China last year, saying the United States should “deescalate” military tensions with the communist nation. The comments were criticized by experts, including a retired army colonel, who called the remarks “dangerously naive.”

“The Chinese cannot and will not compete with us militarily,” Kennedy told X owner Elon Musk in a discussion last year. “So it’s kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy that says, ‘Oh, the Chinese want to be our enemy and have a military competition,’ but that’s not the case. What we should do is de-escalate military pressure on China.”

He also argued that the United States should let Taiwan and China “work this out on their own” and that the United States should “step back militarily.” As war rages in Ukraine and then Israel, the world prepares for a possible invasion of Taiwan by China, which functions as an independent country separate from China.

“We think the world is on our side, but it’s not. All we have: the only people who support this pugnacious, bellicose relationship with China are Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, Great Britain and Canada.” he continued in his remarks last year. “We’re pretty much alone in the world. The rest of the world looks at us and says, ‘What are you doing? Why are you trying to start a war with China? Why are you fighting them?”

WHO IS ROBERT F. KENNEDY JR. AND WHY IS HE CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT?

“They don’t want war, they want peace and prosperity, and that can’t happen where there is war,” he said.

John Mills, a retired Army colonel, criticized the remarks in a commentary to The Epoch Times, saying Kennedy was “almost dangerously naive about China’s malign behavior.”

“I’m a little perplexed by his comments,” Mills added. “He has strong opinions about the virus and the vaccine. Well, where does he think the virus comes from? It’s a little incongruous.”

Kennedy’s campaign said Wednesday that current policy with China puts Taiwan at “greater risk” but did not respond to 2014 comments about “organ harvesting.”

“The experts are wrong. The current policy of confrontation with China puts Taiwan at greater risk by making it a pawn in a geopolitical power game,” the campaign says.
