Day One Trailer Shows How Silent Our World Has Become

After teasing the release of the new trailer for the upcoming horror prequel, Paramount has just released the second official trailer for A quiet place: first day. The film features that fateful day when the invasion began and the people of New York would struggle to deal with a deadly threat that attacks through sounds. The trailer appears to be the same one that premiered at CinemaCon this year, as the footage matches the description given by our own Lance Vlcek, who was in attendance.

While John Krasinski directed the previous two films, he is producing A quiet place: first day and entrusted the direction to Michael Sarnoski, director of the drama Nicolas Cage Pig (watch HERE). Jeff Nichols (Midnight Special) was responsible for writing and directing A quiet place: first day for a time, but when he dropped out he was replaced by Sarnoski. The story, credited to Krasinski and Sarnoski, takes place in the same world as the first two films, but does not involve the Abbott family, the characters we followed in the first two films.

It was reported that after seeing Pig and blown away by the film, Krasinski was quick to put Sarnoski on the shortlist of directors to book an appointment for the project. Even though insiders say Sarnoski’s vision for the film was still his own and different from what Krasinski had done with the first two, he still gave a speech that fit the tone of the world they had created and felt he was the perfect fit for their next opus. .

Krasinski produced A quiet place: first day under his Sunday Night banner, while Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller produce through their company Platinum Dunes. Allyson Seeger, Krasinski’s partner on Sunday Night, serves as executive producer.

The movie stars 12 years of slavery Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o, Alex Wolff of Hereditary And Pigand Joseph Quinn, better known as Eddie Munson from the final season of Stranger Things. Djimon Hounsou, who played “Man on Island” in A Quiet Place: Part IItakes up this role here.

The official synopsis simply says: Live the day when the world fell silent. Paramount also released the new poster, which you can check out below.
