Coronation Street: Nathan’s ‘blunder’ revealed as villain returns seven years after release

Coronation Street viewers have been left perplexed by a plot hole as villain Nathan Curtis returned to the ITV soap.

During the Wednesday, May 8 episode, Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) was shocked by her unexpected appearance. She was stunned to see her nasty ex return to the streets after all the torment he had inflicted on her.

While others are skeptical about his identity, Bethany is certain it is Nathan and suspects him of being involved in Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) disappearance.

Lauren went missing a few months ago following a brutal attack and is presumed dead, although her body has not been found, leaving hope that she is still alive. While Bethany thinks Nathan is hiding something about Lauren, fans have identified another potential secret he could be hiding.

Expressing bewilderment, one viewer tweeted: “Would Bethany have been told Nathan was released? #Corrie”, while another replied: “Why didn’t anyone tell Bethany Nathan was released? #Corrie.”

Some viewers suspect Nathan may have played a role in Lauren’s disappearance, with one fan speculating: “I wonder if Nathan was the one who did something to Lauren? It’s entirely possible. #Corrie.” , reports the Mirror.
