The suspected drug dealer emerged from his hotel in typical tourist attire of a t-shirt, shorts and flip-flops before being arrested.

Spanish police have released images showing the alleged baron being forced to the ground while officers handcuffed him.

Brown’s shoes came off during the scuffle as he appeared to resist and four officers were seen grabbing and restraining him.

Amid the chaos, a British pensioner was caught off guard and could be heard saying: “What’s going on? I’m 72 years old.”

Another panicked holidaymaker screamed: “Oh my God, what, why? Please tell me why?

His request for an explanation received a half response from the police about what was happening.

A detective then told one of the officers in Spanish, “Tell them why” as the fugitive was taken away.

Brown was then escorted to the police car and taken to Benidorm police station to be fingerprinted and processed his case.

He is accused of selling strong and illegal drugs such as cocaine, ketamine and amphetamines.

The arrest in the popular Costa Blanca resort took place last month, but the footage was only published today.

The 50-year-old, from Manchester, is believed to have evaded arrest for four years.

A European arrest warrant has been issued for the wanted Briton in 2022, two years after an appeal to find him.

Detective Inspector Rick Castley from Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Organized Crime Group said after his arrest: “Brown is accused of a major drug supply conspiracy, and our determination to locate him has not wavered. over the years.

“I would like to thank our colleagues at the National Crime Agency and Spanish law enforcement for supporting us in our relentless quest to find Brown.

“Brown may have been exceptional for four years now, but we haven’t forgotten him.

“Working with specialist resources and our international partners, we will continue to ensure that wanted suspects live their lives always looking over their shoulders.”

Brown is reportedly in prison in Spain awaiting extradition to the United Kingdom, where he could face a life sentence.

Spanish police said Brown was accused of distributing cocaine, cannabis, amphetamines and ketamine in Manchester.
