Community holds public hearing on setbacks in Cecil Township

About 150 people attended the Cecil Township (Washington County), Pennsylvania, Board of Supervisors meeting yesterday to voice concerns about Range Resources’ fracking activities near their homes. Some participants were paid activists (holding signs), but judging by media reports, many were just local residents. The Commission held a hearing to consider changes to existing ordinances that control how close drilling can take place to homes and other structures in the city.
