The Charlotte Hornets just made a hire, they announced they will hire Celtics assistant Charles Lee to replace Steve Clifford and to be the first head coach of the Jeff Peterson era under this new ownership group, Charles Lee was long awaited as the result. here. He was in Atlanta when Jeff Peterson was in Atlanta, when Rick Snell was a gay park and where the minority owners in Atlanta, he’s on the 2021 Milwaukee Bucks championship coaching staff that, you know, had Taylor Jenkins who damn he was coming, of course, before he took the Lakers job and you know, that tree also goes back to Kenny Atkinson being on his bench in Atlanta. And what do you have? So one of the young guys who’s been in a lot of interviews, by all accounts he had every opportunity to kind of win the Pistons coaching search last year and it looks like, you know, Tom Gores was always just trying to go out and chase Monty Williams to begin with, but it seemed like that was always the case. serious research at some point and in May and maybe a bullet dodged for Mr. Charles Lee and maybe a bullet dodged for Charles Lee because it’s going to be like a really good one from my understanding and all my conversations with the guys there like that are not new owner syndrome, trading everything to go compete right now. Like they knew they were rebuilding, you know, they, you saw that front office with the Mitch Kupchak kind of transition situation with, you know, a lot of the leadership of that ownership group made a pretty reconstruction. The TM move after move at the trade deadline with Terry Rozier and getting a really good value first round pick, I think back to him, they got some stuff for Gordon Hayward that I have I Was a little surprised that they were able to, I mean, they got the first two picks protected for PJ Washington from Dallas. So it’s going to be, it’s the perfect opportunity for a first-time head coach.
