Guthrie Special Jays prepare for Special Olympics with spirited track meet

In anticipation of the upcoming Special Olympics in Stillwater, the Guthrie Special Jays took the opportunity Tuesday to demonstrate their athletic prowess in a spirited track and field competition at the Clay Tarter Complex.

In ideal weather conditions, the athletes enthusiastically participated in various events, demonstrating their talent and determination. The track and field competition served as a platform for the Special Jays to hone their skills and gain support from their fellow students, teachers, family members and friends who encouraged them every step of the way.

As the Special Jays prepare for their journey to Stillwater, a heartwarming departure is planned for Wednesday, May 15, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The community is invited to join in farewelling these remarkable athletes as they embark. on their journey from the high school parking lot.
