Peninsula sex offender arrested with child pornography, police say

SAN MATEO COUNTY, Calif. — A convicted sex offender was arrested this week after investigators alleged he failed to register and was arrested in possession of child pornography.

Alexander Jessup, 36, of Emerald Hills, was arrested Monday during a probation search, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators said Jessup failed to maintain that his court-ordered offender registration contained explicit images of minors.

He was booked into the Maguire Correctional Center on suspicion of failure to register, violation of probation and possession of obscene material involving a minor. Anyone with additional information that may be relevant to the case can contact detectives at 650-363-4057.
