OSU trustees will consider the 2025 budget at their May 17 meeting

The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will meet May 16-17 and consider acceptance of the university’s operating budget for fiscal year 2025.

The board will meet from 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on May 17 in the Memorial Union Horizon Room. Council committees will meet from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 16 in the Horizon Room. Additionally, the Board of Trustees will hold a joint meeting with the OSU Foundation Board from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on May 15 to discuss the foundation’s strategic plan.

On May 17, the board will also consider approving the education equity plan, required by state law. The board will also hear updates on federal legislative developments, OSU-Cascades, economic development and industrial relations, and hear a presentation on the fundamentals of board governance.

On May 16, board committees will hear presentations on student life and success, student-athletes, campus safety, sustainable investments, human resources and hear a report on the Class of 2024. After the board meeting May 16, the board will hold an executive session, pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(d) to conduct deliberations with persons designated to conduct collective bargaining.

All board meetings are open to the public and can be viewed via Zoom. Zoom links, meeting agendas and documents are posted as they become available on the council website.

A public comment period is scheduled at the start of the full board meeting on May 17 and before the board votes on any action items on the board’s agenda on May 17. may.
