Westerhout recalls being delighted to be offered a job outside the Oval Office

Madeleine Westerhout smiles and addresses the jury as she describes working for former President Donald Trump at the White House.

“I am now, yes,” she replies when asked if she was nervous about testifying, letting out a small laugh.

Trump smiled widely, lifting his chin and looking at Westerhout when she said she was nervous.

Westerhout looked at Trump and smiled after spelling his name.

More context: She left her White House post after revealing details about her children during an off-the-record dinner with reporters in Bedminster, New Jersey. From her office just outside the Oval Office, she observed almost every coming and going for more than two and a half years.
