Silent Auction Scheduled at Venue at Stone Mill

MVCA invites you to the DONNA VEEDER ET SHOWCASE SILENT AUCTION has THE Location at Stone Mill, located at Canal Place, June 1^st2024, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in honor of the artist Donna Veeder.

DONNA VEEDER always said that when the time was right, her personal works should be donated to the MVCA for sale to support the work of the MVCA for the Arts. The time has come. Join us in celebrating Donna’s life and legacy and supporting MVCA. The treasure she had waiting for us is a wonderful range of her work which you will see on June 1st.^st. Donna’s long-standing involvement with MVCA continued until the end.

Donna was born and raised in Nashville, where she studied commercial art at Hume-Fogg Technical High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the University of Georgia in Athens in 1958, then became a resident of the Mohawk Valley with her husband, Nicholas Veeder.

Whether teaching children at school or adults for 17 years at MVCA, Donna was a treasure to all who knew her. She challenged herself by teaching her students, young and old. She painted portraits locally to support art. She went to China to study art. The result is an incredible exhibition.

Hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer and soft drinks will be served from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Stone Mill location.

The auction will end at 8:30 p.m. All sales will be final.
