CRH executes share repurchase and cancellation

CRH (CRH) (EN:CRH) posted an update.

CRH plc recently carried out a share buyback, resulting in the cancellation of the shares purchased, as part of its $300 million share buyback program announced earlier in the year. Following the transaction, the total number of issued ordinary shares of CRH amounts to 686,045,364, with an additional 41,191,833 shares held in treasury, representing 5.664% of the issued share capital of CRH. These treasury shares carry no voting rights, and this decision is probably part of CRH’s strategy to increase shareholder value.
