Jet2 tells passengers not to go to airport as flights to Greek island canceled

Jet2 has asked travelers not to go to the airport if they are heading to a Greek island hit by bad weather. The airline said it was sorry, but all flights are canceled today (Friday May 10) and will be rescheduled.

Jet2 flies to Skiathos from Bristol, Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Newcastle and Manchester airports.




Jet2 said: “If you are traveling to Skiathos today, please do not go to the airport. If you have already traveled to the airport, we advise you to return home if possible and return to the airport 3 hours later. before your new departure time tomorrow.

“If it is not possible to return home, please speak to a member of our friendly red team at the airport who will be happy to help.” Jet2 said it was also contacting Skiathos passengers who were due to return home today.


The airline added: “We apologize for this change which is unfortunately beyond our control. If you are due to travel to Skiathos today, we have sent full change details and your options to your email upon booking.

“It is rare for our schedules to be disrupted in this way and although this change is beyond our control, we understand that it will disrupt your plans at the last minute and have done everything possible to ensure we operate as quickly as possible and minimize delays. .

“We have a huge team working hard behind the scenes at our UK-based headquarters monitoring the situation and, on behalf of all of us, we are once again sorry for the inconvenience caused by this delay.”
