GRAND Theater ready to stage “Native Gardens”

WAITING PARK (WJON News) – The last show of BIG Theater is above all a question of community and the power of understanding.

Native gardens is the story of two neighboring couples in conflict over the property line. The comical clash of cultures and values ​​will make audiences laugh while exploring the complexity of human relationships.

Kendra Norton Dando, GREAT Artistic and Educational Directorwas immediately won over by the scenario.

Our script reading committee was immediately drawn to this show because it sparked rich conversations about our community. Theater should provide the opportunity to listen, think, appreciate, laugh and sometimes cringe, and Native Gardens does all of that.

Tickets are $25 and include a post-show reception Michoacana of Catalinaa family-owned ice cream parlor located in Waite Park, specializing in authentic Mexican treats and snacks.

Lacey Schirmers, Executive Director of GREAT Theatersays the tea party will be another opportunity to discuss the themes of the show.
