Miranda Cosgrove wants to meet mom ‘iCarly’ in a movie

Someone call it PearPhone and make it happen, stat. Miranda Cosgrove recently said Entertainment This evening that she had a “great experience” returning to the world of iCarly, but “I would love to be able to conclude the story” with a film. “I want to know who Carly’s mom is as much as (the fans) do,” she added. “It seems like a lot of people were hoping to see that.” Paramount canceled the iCarly show to resume in 2023 after three seasons. Carly and Spencer’s mother was virtually nonexistent in the franchise until she came to interrupt Carly and Freddie’s wedding in the finale episode, “I Have a Proposal.” Carly looked shocked, Spencer looked a little angry, and Ms. Shay seemed invisible — at least to viewers, because she only appeared off-screen. Bustle also recently reported that Cosgrove hinted during an interview that there was “serious interest” in a film. Seems like several people weren’t happy with ending on this mother of a cliffhanger.
