Ever since Vishnu Manchu starrer Kannappa was announced, the excitement among fans has increased. It has now doubled with mega stars like Prabhas and Akshay Kumar joining the cast. On Saturday, actor Vishnu Manchu, while urging fans and movie buffs to stop assuming the characters played by the actors in the film, revealed that Prabhas had chosen a different character than the one offered to him. Vishnu Manchu, while urging fans and movie buffs not to assume the characters played by the actors in the film, revealed that Prabhas chose another character, after listening to the story, rather than the one offered to him .

Vishnu also reportedly said that he was happy with the decision and the team made some changes to the character, keeping Prabhas’ stardom in mind.

The inspiration behind Kannappa

Kannappa is set to become a cinematic spectacle, delving into the story of a brave warrior who became a devout follower of Lord Shiva, Kannappa, whose unwavering faith continues to inspire generations. Vishnu Manchu, renowned for his versatility and dedication, embodies this legendary character with fervor and reverence.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the craze for Kannappa has only increased with each update released by the team. On Saturday, the team announced that it would release a massive update on May 13.

The film boasts of big names including Prabhas and Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who will be seen in special roles. Actors Mohan Babu, Mohanlal and Sarathkumar will play key roles in the film produced by Mohan Babu and directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. The film will be released pan-India in all South Indian languages and Hindi.
