Silent Witness viewers spot MasterChef connection in new episode

Silent Witness fans have been rejoicing over a Masterchef connection in the latest episode of the drama with Sean Pertwee guest starring.

Pertwee is the narrator of Masterchef: The Professionals, but appeared in the latest episode of Silent Witness as DI John Flynn. The episode, titled “Death By a Thousand Hits – Part 1,” follows the team investigating the death of a Burmese man abandoned on a beach.

Fans enjoyed Pertwee’s performance as DI, but were delighted with the new Masterchef connection thanks to the involvement of the cooking competition narrator.

A fan wrote: “Enjoyed Silent Witness tonight, good to see Sean Pertwee on TV – the deaf girl in the lab is clever – check back Wednesday night for part 2.”

Another fan wrote: “Sean Pertwee in #silentwitness – awesome, this guy is a legend.”

However, many fans couldn’t get past the Masterchef connection. One user explained: “I hate it when Sean Pertwee plays a role because I just get hungry thinking about Masterchef.”

Another fan wrote: “Sean Pertwee’s voice… I just hope he doesn’t describe the autopsy in detail.” While another fan added: “It’s impossible to watch Sean Pertwee without imagining him sinking into his ‘Jasmin faces a race against time to make her parfait as clear as she wants it’. MasterChef chatty.”

Pertwee fans will be able to see him in action again on Wednesday as the second part of Death By a Thousand Hits, episode eight, then airs and airs.

It’s also not the first time a Silent Witness guest star has delighted audiences as earlier this season The Mummy and Four Weddings and a Funeral star John Hannah put in a brilliant performance.
