Rakhi Sawant has been in the news lately after the Bombay High Court rejected her anticipatory bail in a case registered by her ex-husband Adil Durrani. He alleged that Sawant released his private and sexually explicit videos on media channels.

Sawant, challenging the sessions court order rejecting her anticipatory bail, approached the High Court. However, she withdrew her plea in February 2024 in the High Court after Justice Sarang Kotwal had said he was not inclined to grant him relief..

Sawant and Durrani had married briefly, but the marriage could not be sustained due to several differences between the parties. Durrani allegedly made remarks against Sawant in public and in his defense she showed a home video of him in public.
