Did ‘Premalu’ director Girish decline an offer from Kamal Haasan? | Tamil cinema news

The Malayalam film ‘Premalu’, released earlier this year, was a huge success. The film was even dubbed into Telugu and Tamil after receiving critical acclaim. Directed by Girish, the film is a romantic comedy. Now the news is that the director was offered to direct a Tamil film under Kamal Haasan’s production house Raaj Kamal films International, but he reportedly rejected the offer.


Reports from India Glitz indicated that the director had decided to stay with his former producer and was not interested in starting a new collaboration at the moment. However, the official word from director Girish and Kamal Haasan’s production has not been made.

On the work front, Girish is reportedly set to direct a new film titled ‘I am Lover’, which is said to be a reunion of the cast and crew of ‘Premalu’. Although nothing has been confirmed, it is expected that the director will make his Tamil debut in the coming years, if not immediately.
