RCB winning streak continues, celebrations erupt in locker room

RCB is still in the playoff race after beating DC at home. After a terrible start to the season, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have won five consecutive matches in the Indian Premier League 2024. Before their recent winning streak, RCB had lost six consecutive matches and were on the verge of being eliminated from the competition.

The Bengaluru-based team made some tactical adjustments. In the dressing room, the RCB team erupted in joy after their victory against Delhi Capitals. The celebration was unlike anything seen so far in IPL 2024 as the coaching staff congratulated every player who performed well. RCB shared a video from the celebrations, showing Rajat Patidar and Cameron Green having a great time.

RCB head coach Andy Flower had earlier spoken about the change in approach taken by the top order, which seemed more aggressive. Flower also praised the bowling unit, saying they tried their best to be as offensive as possible in terms of lengths and options.

“Virat and Faf led from the start and the rest of the team was excellent. I think we saw a strong performance in the powerplay from Siraj and Yash. Both showed great skill and determination with the new ball,” Flower said in the video.

If RCB beats CSK at home in their final league match on May 18, they have little chance of qualifying for the playoffs. With 12 points from 13 matches, the team moved up to fifth place in the league standings. SRH, CSK, RR and KKR are ahead of RCB. While other teams are just one win away from a playoff spot, KKR have already secured their spot.
