Meryl Streep Brings Stealthy, Rich Style to Cannes With 2 French-Inspired Looks: Photos

Meryl Streep pulls out all the stops at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.

The Oscar-winning actor, 74, has already kicked off the prestigious event taking place along the French Riviera with not one but two French-inspired ensembles, and they certainly deserve a spot on your summer mood board. For the photocall of the opening ceremony, the Only murders in the building The star stepped out in a crisp white Michael Kors suit with a navy and white striped Lilysilk blouse underneath.

She spruced up the look with Jimmy Choo silver pointy-toe pumps, Prada sunglasses and oversized hoop earrings. For a French Riviera touch, the actress added a woven hat from Gigi Burris – perfect for the beach setting.

Streep was all smiles on the red carpet as she posed for photos and greeted fans.

“How do you say #frenchriviera? Streeps’ stylist Michaela Erlanger captioned an Instagram post showing off the star’s coastal chic look.

The actress then adopted a more formal look for the “Second Act” screening and the opening ceremony red carpet. She looked elegant in a cream-colored maxi wrap dress with three-quarter sleeves, white platform sandals, silver earrings and black glasses. Her hair was styled in a simple bun and she carried a small white clutch.

During the opening ceremony, Streep also received the prestigious Palme d’Or which rewards cinematographic achievements.
