Lisa Armstrong shares cryptic post about ‘silent battles’ as ex-husband Ant McPartlin reveals happy news he became a first-time dad with wife Anne-Marie Corbett

Lisa Armstrong shared a cryptic message the same day her ex-husband Ant McPartlin revealed the happy news that he had become a dad.

On Instagram on Tuesday, presenter Ant, 48, shared that his wife Anne-Marie Corbett, 46, had given birth to a son called Wilder Patrick.

But just before Ant’s post, his ex-wife Lisa shared a quote on her Instagram about “silent battles.”

“Be proud of how you have handled these past few months,” the message read. “The silent battles you fought, the times you had to humble yourself, the times you wiped away your own tears. Celebrate your strength.

Ant has been outspoken in the past about his desire to have children and he has spoken publicly about how he tried to have a baby with his ex-wife Lisa.

The couple had no children when they filed for divorce in 2018 after 11 years of marriage. Ant and Anne-Marie got married in 2021.

Lisa’s message came minutes before Ant revealed he and Anne-Marie had welcomed their son.

A few hours after his wife gave birth, the presenter shared his joy at being parents.

Ant shared an Instagram photo gently rocking his baby boy, revealing he was born earlier in the day on Tuesday, writing: “Born 05/14/24 at 8:54am. Baby is beautiful, mom is a legend, sisters are over the moon. Dad is a mess! » he captioned the photo.

Ant was quickly inundated with messages from friends, including Jamie Redknapp, Davina McCall and Alesha Dixon, who were delighted to see the star finally become a dad, after publicly speaking about his desire to be a parent.

The baby will be Ant’s first while Anne-Marie has two children, Poppy and Daisy, from her previous marriage.

When news of Anne-Marie’s pregnancy was revealed, it was claimed Ant was over the moon because he didn’t think fatherhood was on the agenda for him.

A source told The Sun at the time: “This is the news everyone wanted. Ant and Anne-Marie are more than delighted. It’s no secret that Ant always wanted children, but he unfortunately had to accept that it would never happen for him.

“When they found out last year they were absolutely delighted, but they obviously kept the news under wraps for as long as possible.

“Having a child two years before your 50th birthday, with the love of your life, is a dream for Ant.

“He is already a wonderful and caring father to Anne-Marie’s children, and together they will be brilliant parents to this newest addition to the family.”

In the image, Ant also revealed an intricate tree tattoo on his shoulder with sweet dedications to his stepchildren from Anne-Marie’s previous marriage and their pet dogs, Milo and Bumble.

Following the announcement, many of Ant’s famous friends shared their best wishes in the comments.
