Gurugram, May 15 Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s rally scheduled for Thursday (May 16) in Gurugram has been canceled due to “unknown reasons”.

As per schedule, SM Shah was scheduled to address a public meeting here on Thursday to seek support for the BJP candidate for the Gurgaon Lok Sabha seat – Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh – who is also the sitting MP.

A senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said on Wednesday that the three rallies planned in three of Haryana’s parliamentary constituencies – Gurgaon (May 16), Rohtak and Karnal (May 17) – have been cancelled.

Party officials, however, did not reveal the reasons for this cancellation.

Rao Inderjit Singh is eyeing a third victory in the Gurgaon seat, after winning the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Meanwhile, the Union minister has been busy with his campaign meetings in Gurgaon Lok Sabha constituency.

On Wednesday, he addressed public meetings in over five localities of Gurgaon constituency.

“In the coming days, people in the Manesar area of ​​Pataudi will also benefit from the Orbital Rail Corridor and Rapid Rail Transit System. This entire area will be connected to passenger train service in the coming days.

“Over the last 10 years, the country has witnessed rapid development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. To continue this pace of development, it is important to ensure that the government led by Prime Minister Modi is once again trained to Center’s aim is to include the country among the top three economic powers of the world,” Rao Inderjit Singh said at one of the rallies.

Single-phase voting will be held in all 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana, including the Gurgaon parliamentary constituency, on May 25.
