Riverfront inspires new Hollis + Morris living room pieces

TORONTO – Canadian minimalist furniture and lighting brand Hollis + Morris has introduced a new coffee table, lounge chair and sofa.

The Levee Coffee Table, which costs $3,500, is substantial and supportive, according to the company, with three sturdy solid wood legs that rise to meet the table top.

“Carefully designed in form and function, this redesigned coffee table is inspired by the resilience of a levee supporting a floodplain,” said a company spokesperson. “Whether it’s the piece’s substantial weight or its contemporary design that draws the eye, this table is sure to be a captivating focal point in any room.”

In addition to the new coffee table, Hollis + Morris now offers other living room pieces, including the Shoal Lounge Chair, which costs $4,350, and the Riverside Sofa, which costs $17,500.

Like a solid ridge rising from the seabed, the Shoal lounge chair features a sheltering back that rises from the seat of the chair. And, continuing the river theme, the new Riverside sofa has a solid frame that peeks out from behind the fabric as well as “large cushions that meander and create ambiance to provide flexibility and flow,” according to the company.

All lighting, furniture and accessories are assembled in the company’s manufacturing facility in Toronto. All wood pieces are made with FSC-certified solid wood sourced from the surrounding Toronto area to minimize the company’s material footprint.
