Marvel Comics Pulls Back the Curtain on New DAZZLER Comic Series (Taylor Swift-Inspired?)

With the fall of Krakoa, the X-Men’s dream of coexistence has never seemed more impossible. Luckily, Mutantkind’s own pop princess has a song that will unite the masses – and paint a big target on her back – in an all-new Dazzling limited comic series coming this September.

From rising Marvel star Jason Loo (Sentinel) and newcomer artist Rafael Loureiro, we’re getting a major Taylor Swift vibe on the cover below… which may or may not be a coincidence with the singer who is rumored to play the character in Deadpool and Wolverine.

No stranger to headliners, Alison Blaire enjoyed a successful solo career outside of the X-Men in the 1980s with the long-running and fondly remembered group. Dazzling series. Now, she’s back to inspire a whole new generation, spreading a message of love and acceptance one sold-out show at a time.

Her tour is for everyone, but behind the scenes Alison is joined by a team of fellow mutants – security chief Domino, personal guard Strong Guy, one-man roadie Multiple Man, drummer Shark-Girl and the expert publicist Wind Dancer. Anti-mutant fervor has never been so personal, but anyone who tries to dim Dazzler’s light will simply have to face the music.

“Rafael and I are giving everyone backstage access to the biggest show of the decade: the Dazzler World Tour!” » said Loo. “Sounds exciting? Not for Dazzler as she faces tons of pressure from all kinds of people trying to cancel her shows. But she won’t go out without a fight. “

Loureiro adds, “For as long as I can remember, I’ve been crazy about two things: music and drawing comics. To think that I would be able to combine both passions when I first started at Marvel is beyond my wildest dreams. No just that, but with such an incredible X-Men character in the role of Dazzler – I absolutely had to jump at the chance!”

“When I read Jason’s script, I kept thinking, ‘Oh, I’m going to have so much fun with this!’ Now, Dazzler has a special place in my heart, and I can almost hear it singing in my head with every page I draw,” he adds. “I’m honored to be a part of this project, putting her in the spotlight for all readers and elevating her to her rightful place as a super star!”
