Princess Kate Gives Prince William Look on Film

Princess Kate “immediately” lining up Prince William with a firm look has resurfaced in a clip on TikTok during an overseas visit just before Prince Harry met Meghan Markle.

The Prince and Princess of Wales joined Prince Harry and King Charles III for commemorations marking 100 years of the Battle of the Somme in the First World War in July 2016.

During the visit, Kate and William were walking together when the princes appeared distracted, prompting the princess to glance over her shoulder at her husband.

And as soon as she said the word “William”, he fell back in line behind her. The moment gained attention on TikTok after it was posted with the message: “The way he followed her immediately & THE LOOK KATE GAVE HIM UGHHHHH SHES SO…”

The visit to the Thiepval Memorial, in Albert, France, on July 1, 2016, was understandably somber and Kate told passersby how moving she found it.

Quoted in the Daily MirrorPoppy Hodgson, from the Hermitage Academy in Chester-le-Street, England, said at the time: “She (Kate) said it was very emotional to be here and that they were really enjoying their visit . She said it was very moving.”

However, it also came at a pivotal moment for the royal family, just before Harry met Meghan Markle for the first time.

He wrote in his book, Spare: “I had just returned from a trip with Dad, Willy and Kate to France, where we marked the anniversary of the Battle of the Somme, honored the British dead, and read a haunting poem, ‘Before Action .’

“It was posted by a soldier two days before he died in battle. It ended: ‘Help me to die, O Lord.’

“As I read it, I realized that I didn’t want to die. I wanted to live. Quite a stunning revelation for me at that moment.”

Harry’s new lust for life was motivated by a video he saw on his Instagram feed of Meghan with her friend Violet von Westenholz: “There was an energy about her, a wild joy and a playfulness. There was There was something about the way she smiled, the way she interacted with Violet, the way she looked at the camera.

“Confident. Free. She believed that life was a great adventure, I could see it. What a privilege it would be, I thought, to join her on this journey.

“I got it all from his face. His bright, angelic face. I had never had a firm face.

We? But in that moment, I felt like maybe there was only one face for me. This one.”
