Who are your local South Brisbane DFV specialists?

Who are your local South Brisbane DFV specialists?

Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) practitioners from the Queensland Police Service work closely with external stakeholders across the state to provide an integrated response to victim survivors.

This week, during Domestic Violence Prevention Month, local DFV organizations visited Westfield Carindale to provide community members with the opportunity to speak with different DFV providers, obtain information, resources and support. These organizations included:

QPS Officers and DFV Practitioners at Westfield CARindale

The community event also raised awareness of the HOPE Hub at Westfield Carindale Shopping Center (the first of its kind in Australia) – a safe place where all members of the community can access information, referrals and support on social issues, with a focus on domestic violence and mental health.

By coming together, we aim to ensure that community members know that they are not alone and that there are incredible local organizations working together to prevent DFV and to support everyone who has experienced it.
