In a turn of events that left one Instagram user in shock, local man Gareth Smith (28) was reportedly left stunned by the appalling performance on his Instagram story featuring a screenshot of a song obscure from his Spotify playlist.

Gareth had apparently stumbled upon the lesser-known track while diving into the depths of Spotify’s algorithmic suggestions. Bursting with excitement at discovering a song with a mysterious album cover, Gareth took to Instagram to share his surprisingly niche and underground taste in music, even though he hadn’t even browsed the song before deciding to share it.

“I really thought it would at least make for a story like this,” Gareth admitted.

“I guess it went over their heads.”
