Karnataka Sex Tapes: HD Deve Gowda breaks silence, says action will be taken against Prajwal and others

Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) HD supremo Deve Gowda on Saturday broke his silence on the sexual harassment case against his son HD Revanna and grandson Prajwal Revanna and said no one should be saving. He said many other people were involved in the case and action should be taken against them.

Speaking to the media after visiting the Lakshmi Venkateshwara Temple at JP Nagar in Bengaluru for special birthday prayers, Deve Gowda said, “Prajwal has gone out (of the country). HD Kumaraswamy has already said that action according to law should be taken. I won’t take their names. Many are involved in this and action should also be taken against them. »

Gowda, who turned 92 today, had his birthday canceled early. According to reports, the former prime minister is in no mood to celebrate his birthday in light of developments surrounding his grandson Prajwal, who is the prime accused in an alleged sex video scandal and is currently on the run.

Gowda asserted that action against Prajwal would be taken and relief should be provided to the victims.

“Action against Prajwal will be taken. But regarding HD Revanna, people saw what was done against him. HD Kumaraswamy has already said that the relief amount should be provided to the victims. HD Revanna was granted bail by the court and another order is pending. I say action must be taken against everyone involved in this. No one should be spared,” he added.

When asked if there was any attempt to corner the Deve Gowda family, he said, “It is true. As arrested BJP leader G Devaraje Gowda claimed, many people are involved.

“I don’t want to take their names. Action must be taken against them all. Women in danger must be protected and compensated. »

“I will speak to the media after June 4 about this. Until then, I will not speak,” he stressed.

Asked about BJP leader G Devaraje Gowda’s allegation that deputy CM DK Shivakumar had made a bid of Rs 100 crore to malign his family, Deve Gowda maintained that Kumaraswamy was reacting to the developments and he did not want to do no comment.

“Kumaraswamy will speak on all subjects. I have completed 91 years. I went to the temple and offered prayers. I asked my fans not to celebrate my birthday this year. My fans and well-wishers held worship services in temples. I wish all my supporters good luck on this occasion,” the former prime minister said.

Deve Gowda’s son JD-S MLA HD Revanna was jailed and recently released on conditional bail in a kidnapping case involving a victim of the alleged sex scandal linked to his son.

Meanwhile, efforts are being made to bring Prajwal Revanna back to India. Prajwal, a JD(S) Lok Sabha MP and candidate for Hassan seat, is an accused in the sex videos case and is currently abroad.
