HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – The Indiana Department of Transportation announced the closure of State Route 64 in Dubois County.

Transportation officials say starting on or about May 28, crews will begin daily road closures in Dubois County near Birdseye between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. between State Road 162 and State Road 145.

Officials say that during the project, crews will perform chip sealing operations to extend the life of the road, and the work is expected to last two weeks, depending on weather conditions.

The detour will be from State Road 162 to I-64, then State Road 37 to State Road 64. Local traffic will have access to the point of closure.
