Janhvi Kapoor remembers the time her father Boney Kapoor caught his boy sneaking out of the window; here’s what happened next

Actress Janhvi Kapoor recently recalled a funny anecdote about her father, Boney Kapoor, who caught her dragging a boy out of her bedroom window. The actress also remembered how her father won over Sridevi and shared one of his daily habits. Scroll down to learn more!

Janhvi Kapoor shared on Mashable India’s YouTube channel about a time she tried to be sneaky but ended up getting caught by her father on CCTV. She described walking past her old house in Mumbai, which was the first house her late mother Sridevi bought in the city.

Janhvi Kapoor revealed that she once sneaked someone into the house and, not wanting him to come out the front door, asked him to jump out. She had parked her car, a large Lexus, nearby and suggested they jump in and leave. The person did as asked, but her father saw the entire episode on the CCTV camera and confronted her, asking what she was doing. To avoid such incidents, he installed a grill outside his bedroom window.

Additionally, Janhvi shared a humorous detail that when she asked the boy to jump out of the window onto the car, she did not realize that her driver was inside the vehicle at that time. She chose not to name the boy involved.

She also remembered a story her father, Boney Kapoor, told her about the lengths he went to woo her mother, Sridevi. Boney had once jumped out of a hotel window while visiting Sridevi, which made her laugh and convinced him that he had won her over. When asked if Boney tells this story often, Janhvi said he likes to reminisce every night after 10 p.m., especially when music channels start airing old songs. It has become his favorite activity, because he often looks at it and starts with: “you know, your mother and I…”.

Janhvi Kapoor’s Mr & Mrs Mahi is set to hit the theaters on May 31. The film, directed by Sharan Sharma, also stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead role. After that, she will move to Ulajh, which will be released on July 5. She will also be seen in the highly anticipated upcoming film Devara alongside Jr. NTR and Saif Ali Khan.
