Free Summer Lunches Offered at Beaufort County Libraries

BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WSAV) – Children and teens can eat lunch for free at Beaufort County libraries this summer.

Lunches will be served weekly, Monday to Friday, from June 10 to July 31 at the following locations and times:

• Hilton Head Branch Library | 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
• St. Helena Branch Library | 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
• *Washington Park (Beaufort) | 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Bluffton Branch Library | 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Lobeco Branch Library | 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

*The rain location for Washington Park is the Beaufort Branch Library.

Lunches will not be served on Wednesday June 19 or Thursday July 4.

Beaufort County residents ages 0-18 are eligible for the lunches. They must be present; lunches are for on-site dining only at the library.

No library card or registration is required.

The lunch program is made possible through a partnership with the Beaufort County School District.

It also works in tandem with the Beaufort County Library’s summer reading program, Adventure Begins At Your Library. Children and teens have the opportunity to read, participate in fun activities and win prizes along the way.
