Free storage offered to local tornado victims

Temple, Texas (FOX44) – North Austin-based U-Haul is providing 13 facilities to offer 30 days of free self-storage and use of U-Box containers to families affected by Wednesday night’s tornado that struck Temple and the area along Interstate 35.

Many houses in and around the Temple were damaged or destroyed. Access to dry, secure self-storage rooms and portable storage containers will help victims protect any items they may have recovered.

John Jaster, president of U-Haul Co. of North Austin, said his crews were also dealing with tornado damage, but were ready to help their fellow Texans.

30-day free offer applies to new self-storage and U-Box rentals and is based on availability. The free U-Box offer is for on-site storage at U-Haul facilities and does not include residential delivery and pickup of containers.
