A 34-year-old man of no fixed address robbed a Georgian Mall sunglasses store 12 times and now faces numerous charges.

City police took down the sunglasses in an overly conscientious sunglasses theft.

A 34-year-old man of no fixed address is facing a series of criminal charges stemming from an investigation by detectives from Barrie police’s property crimes and auto theft unit, according to A press release.

From April 1 to April 27, the man went to the same business located in the Georgian Mall 12 times and stole sunglasses worth more than $40,000.

Police said they were able to identify the man and arrested him on May 1 in downtown Barrie.

The accused was charged with breach of probation, 12 counts of theft under $5,000, 12 counts of possession of property obtained by crime and trafficking in property obtained by crime.

None of the allegations have been tested in court.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in court at a later date.
