China has encroached on our land but PM Modi remains silent, says Kharge

Shimla: Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday alleged that China has encroached on Indian land and is building houses and roads, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains silent.

Where is the 56-inch chest, Kharge asked, attacking the Prime Minister during his speech at a rally in Rohru, Himachal Pradesh.

The Congress leader said his party is fighting to save the people of the country and the Constitution and will fill 30 lakh government vacancies if voted to power in the Lok Sabha elections.

Kharge said: “We fought Pakistan and achieved independence for Bangladesh. China has encroached on our land and built houses and roads and Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains silent. Where is the 56 inch trunk? The Congress leader also slammed the Center for allegedly failing to provide relief to the Himachal Pradesh government in the wake of the 2023 floods.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had sought Rs 10,000 crore in aid from the Center after the floods, but got only stones, Kharge claimed.
