Woman discovers secret room of horrors in her own home after ripping out carpet

A homeowner and her partner pulled up the carpet in their basement and made an alarming discovery – and shared a video clip showing a section of wall being pushed aside by her husband.

Woman Discovers Scary Hidden Room in Her Home

A woman was stunned after discovering a long-lost secret room hidden beneath her own home.

The homeowner and her partner made an alarming discovery after removing carpet from their basement during home renovations. Entrance to the room was through a metal door after the couple found another room behind a wall mirror upstairs, which is now used as a playroom for their children. Others on her TikTok feed, however, reacted to the discovery and expressed concern for the couple’s safety.

She shared a video clip on her feed and showed a section of wall being pushed aside by her husband. A metal door was discovered which then led to a whole new room. The couple claims the the room remained hidden by a “sliding drywall door.” The room was long and thin and had a drain and a working switch as well as a collection of mats on the floor. This showed that it had previously been used for other purposes, making it even more sinister.

After posting the TikTok clip, she wrote: “What is this, we’ve never seen this at our house and we’ve lived here for four years.” Social networks were completely baffled that the hidden room had not been discovered while the couple lived at the property. Aurora and her husband suggested what the room could be used for, including a panic room, a bomb shelter and even a gun safe.

But the couple’s TikTok followers had more sinister ideas and pointed out that a panic room would not have an outlet outside. One user replied: “Lady, this screams murder room. You can only open the door from the outside, there is a floor drain and “rust” on the floor. I think you should ask the police to come in and look. to this.”

Another added: “This actually looks like a room a serial killer took his victims to cut them up. Look at the random drain in the floor.” She asked her supporters, “Should we bring a cadaver dog?” No, they probably had a gun safe here. » A TikToker later confirmed that cops were called to investigate the space, but no evidence of a crime was found. She said: “They didn’t see any signs of crime, they didn’t investigate anything, they didn’t see anything that looked like DNA evidence that needed to be collected, but they were really impressed with how the room was hidden and that was really cool.”

The Mirror previously told how a woman discovered a secret room in her basement – and as if that wasn’t scary enough, she then discovered what was inside. She explained how she found the room during renovations, saying she knew nothing about it before. It was when she started removing the old paneling that she entered the secret room. Taking to Reddit, she said: “(I found a) hidden room in the basement and items on the ceiling. The only access is through a small square in the wall, and it was covered in paneling and walled up years ago.”
