‘Very talented’ Chelsea player worth £35m to be offered to West Ham United this summer

‘Very talented’ Chelsea player worth £35m to be offered to West Ham United this summer

Chelsea are planning to offer one of their players to Premier League and London rivals West Ham this summer..

A process is underway for Chelsea to find their next head coach following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino, but the summer transfer window is also fast approaching.

So what kind of team will the next Blues manager inherit at Stamford Bridge?

FBREF data indicates that Chelsea had the youngest average age in the Premier League for the 2023/24 season at 24.2 years old. Incidentally, Burnley (24.5) and Arsenal (25.0) were the next youngest in the division.

Chelsea, 22, to be offered to West Ham

According to The Mirror, West Ham will be offered the chance to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea in this upcoming window.

West Ham, who have just appointed Julen Lopetegui as their new manager, will have the opportunity to bring a new center forward to the London Stadium.

Broja, 22, will be put on the table by Chelsea at a rival club.

The young striker spent the first half of the season struggling to make a big impact in the Blues team. Unfortunately, he encountered the same problem when he was loaned out to Fulham for the second half of the campaign, not starting any league games for them.

The Chelsea Chronicle would say he just needs a fresh start to revive his career, which took a big setback with a serious injury in 2022.

Armando Broja also linked with other clubs

Frank Lampard described Broja as “very talented” in February 2022, as cited by Metro Sport. His loan spell at Southampton a few seasons ago proved he could lead the line in the Premier League too.

If he finds the right home, there is plenty of potential to unlock in the pacy striker.

As well as the West Ham links above, other clubs are said to be interested this summer.

Journalist Simon Phillips reported via Substack earlier in May that Brentford and newly promoted Ipswich Town were keen on Broja.

Meanwhile, journalist Ben Jacobs recently claimed via GiveMeSport that Chelsea want £35m for Broja this summer.
