NORTH OGDEN, Utah, May 25, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Please check your doorbell cameras, North Ogden officials ask, after someone cut up a playground in a park, maybe like a circle of cultures.

“We need your help!” the North Ogden Public Works Department said online regarding recent vandalism in the city’s Oaklawn Park.

The damaging tire tracks discovered Thursday appeared to follow a pattern.

Good enough that authorities included aerial photos in their online request for the public’s help in solving the crime they called “drawing with tires.” .

The photos show a possible design attempt.

Another aerial photo shows two people standing on the ground to measure the scale.

“As the driver did not leave any identifying information,” according to the press release, “we are asking for the help of our residents in determining who may have fired tires into the field.”

The damage occurred at the largest soccer field, at Oaklawn Park, 1200 E 2500 N. At 13 acres, Oaklawn is the largest of North Ogden’s six city parks.
