Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin was extremely upset during the Coca Cola 600 race. Hamlin, known for his passion as a NASCAR driver, often expresses his frustration during races. The Charlotte race last Sunday was no exception. Hamlin was furious with the RFK Racing team’s pit stop maneuvers, which made the race difficult for him.

At the Coke 600, Hamlin and Chris Buescher shared the same pit stop area. Buescher’s booth was located directly across from Hamlin’s. The way Buescher entered the pit each time made it difficult for Hamlin’s Toyota Camry to exit smoothly. As the race progressed, Hamlin’s frustration grew.

Hamlin expressed his anger over the team radio to his crew chief. He demanded a solution to the situation. The crew chief assured Hamlin that he had done everything possible and suggested a possible showdown between the two teams. In response, Hamlin said he would fight Team RFK if the problem persisted during the next pit stop.

After the conversation with Hamlin, the crew chief of the No. 17 team had a discussion with Hamlin’s crew chief. They managed to find a suitable solution for Buescher to change his pit entry style. This adjustment allowed both drivers to have a smoother race until it was interrupted by a rain delay midway through Stage 3. During the rain delay, the teams also had a discussion.

As rain began to fall during the third stage of the race, Hamlin was awarded fifth place, while his teammate secured the victory. Buescher finished in 23rd place and his teammate in second place.
