Woman Gets Ocean View Room, But It Was Really Just a Poster

TikTok user @clarisamurgia was taken for a ride when she booked what she thought was her dream vacation accommodation. The woman booked a room promising an ocean view, but instead got a giant concrete wall with a poster of the beach.

Marveling at the ridiculousness of the situation, she couldn’t help but laugh.

Dazzled by a room promising an ocean view

On May 17, TikTok user @clarisamurgia posted a message to show off their accommodation for their trip to Italy. According to her, she was promised a B&B with a sea view.

A quick glance at the window might give that impression. But upon closer inspection, what initially appeared to be a fantastic sea view turned out to be a faded poster covering the white wall of the adjacent building.

“I have never been cheated on like this before,” she said in her post.

However, she couldn’t help but find humor in the ridiculousness of the situation.

Internet users share his disbelief

There were plenty of laughs at the TikTok user’s expense. However, several netizens said they also initially thought the poster was the real deal.

One commenter said that for a while they thought it was real.

Another offered a good travel tip: always check Street View on Google before booking.

Yet another said that technically the room had an ocean view.
