MEMORIAL DAY SERVICES OFFERED TODAY IN INDIANA COUNTY

Veterans and other community groups are offering Memorial Day parades and services today.

In Indiana, ceremonies will take place at 10:45 a.m. Monday at Memorial Park. They will be hosted by American Legion Post 141.

Blairsville’s annual Memorial Day Parade will begin at 10:30 a.m., heading west on Market Street, and the procession will end at the Veteran’s Memorial, where a solemn celebration will take place. Former Pennsylvania VFW Commander Larry Wade will deliver remarks.

Plumville will hold its annual parade at 11:00 a.m., starting near the Citizens Ambulance Station and proceeding along Route 85 through the borough to the Plumville Fire Department. where a service will take place.

The Borough of Marion Center will hold its parade at 1:00 p.m. starting at the northeast end of town and heading to Marion Center High School. A service will be held at the Marion Center Cemetery. Marion Center Methodist Church will host an ice cream party Monday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In Canoe Township, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Church Cemetery in Locust.
