Omaha, NE firefighter shocked by fire in critical condition

An Omaha firefighter is in critical condition after being electrocuted by a falling wire while battling a house fire.

The firefighter was one of several firefighters trying to put out a massive blaze on a back deck, KETV reported.

While battling the fire, officials said a power line fell on a metal fence, shocking a firefighter who was transported to Bergan Mercy Hospital. A recovery is expected.

No civilians were injured.
