Konami announces ‘Silent Hill Transmission’ stream for this month

The official silent Hill The X/Twitter account confirmed upcoming announcements regarding silent Hill game and movie updates, coming May 31 at midnight (BST).

The tweet informs us that there will be a second silent Hill transmission on May 31 at midnight on the silent Hill Youtube channel. This will probably contain updates for the next Silent Hill 2 remake, developed by Bloober Team.

Hopefully the updates are better than the horror game’s latest trailer, which Bloober said doesn’t “capture the spirit” of the game. It was a very combat-heavy trailer, which seemed taking a lot of inspiration from another iconic horror series, resident Evil. Bloober said that marketing the game was the “entire responsibility” of publisher Konami.

This silent Hill the transmission could contain a launch date for Silent Hill 2, as is expected sometime in 2024, and we are already almost in the second half of the year. As for the movie update, it refers to Return to Silent Hillan adaptation of Silent Hill 2, directed by the same person who directed the 2006 film silent Hill cinema, Christophe Gans. Return to Silent Hill will follow series protagonist James, still in shock after losing his wife.

As well as the video game remake of Silent Hill 2, Konami has reportedly contacted studios regarding the possibility of porting the original games to modern hardware. Currently, they are very expensive to buy second-hand, with prices reaching up to £80 from UK retailer CEX. This comes with a two-year warranty, but it’s still expensive.

If you can’t wait Silent Hill 2a free game was released on PS5, Silent Hill: the short message. It’s a two-hour game that examines “how modern young people communicate online and by phone, and the role they might play in a psychological horror story.”

In other news, Rainbow Six Headquarters fans booed the announcement of a subscription service for the major tournament in Manchester.
