Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of film producer Boney Kapoor and actress Sridevi, who passed away in 2018, recently revealed that she was still dealing with the death of her mother. Faced with this loss, Janhvi immerses herself in work. She also spoke about her paranoia, admitting to sneaking into her parents’ bedroom at night to make sure they were breathing.

During a discussion on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, Janhvi Kapoor confessed, “I was always paranoid about losing my parents even at that age. Whenever they would go out at night for an event or were traveling for a day without me.”

She explained: “Even little things, like they were shopping at a duty-free store and I boarded the plane with my nanny, I was always like, ‘They’re not going to board the plane, they will not board the plane.’ to go home’ I would wake up at night and sometimes go into their room to check if they were breathing.

Janhvi Kapoor said that as she grew older, her maternal instincts grew stronger. She emphasized her respect for the Indian tradition of caring for aging parents.

She said: “After a certain age, they become our children. I know I’ll give my dad a lot more allowance so he might not be there emotionally for me in a way that I thought he would. ‘a father should be there, simply because I know now it’s up to me to be there for him.’

“I think we are too hard on our parents. Everyone is screwed because of their parents, no one is right. But they are also messed up because of their parents. No one followed a manual, so you have to forgive yourself and them. Just give them love and be there,” she added.

Recently, the actress visited a temple in Chennai, accompanied by Sridevi’s cousin Maheshwari Ayyappan. Posting a photo from their visit, Janhvi shared that the temple held a special place in her mother’s heart.

Draped in a beautiful floral lehenga saree, Janhvi paid homage to her mother’s beloved traditions. She captioned the post, “Visited Muppathanam Temple for the first time. Mom’s favorite place to visit in Chennai.”
