AKIPRESS.COM – The situation with the supply of fuels and lubricants in Kazakhstan has improved and the export of fuels is possible in the future, Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliev said at a government meeting.

He noted that the volume of oil refining amounted to 5.9 million tons in four months, or 105.4% of the same period in 2023 (5.6 million tons). The production of petroleum products amounted to 4.28 million tons, or 94% of the same period in 2023 (4.55 million tons).

The total reserves of diesel fuel in refineries, oil depots and railways amount to 612,000 tons, those of AI-92 gasoline – 352,000 tons, and those of AI-95 gasoline – 86,000 tons.

Oil refining and production of light oil products increased by 85-87%.

On May 5, the Shymkent oil refinery completed the planned overhaul. The factory operates in the usual mode.

It is also planned to increase the production of petroleum products through the expansion of the Aktau plant from 1 to 1.5 million tons (2025), the Shymkent oil refinery from 6 to 12 million tons. tons (2030), from the Atyrau oil refinery from 5.5 to 6.7 million tons (2027). ) and the Pavlodar petrochemical plant from 5.5 to 8 million tons (2030).

“The implementation of these projects will make it possible to 100% meet the growing demand of the domestic market for fuels and lubricants, as well as export petroleum products to neighboring countries,” the Minister of Energy said.
